Course Care
All Members and guests are requested to be aware of the following course care guidelines:
Bunkers: Before leaving a bunker, a player should carefully fill up and smooth over all holes and footprints, and then leave the rake with the handle pointing toward the tee of the hole being played.
Bunker Rake Policy: Always leave rake in the flat of the bunker with the handle parallel to the line of flight of the hole being played with the handle pointing back towards the tee. Rakes should be placed as far from the edge as possible.
Repairing Ball Marks: Always look for and repair your pitch mark when you first walk on to the green. Start at the back of the mark and push forward with the repairer. Use repairer around all sides and slowly ease turf toward the centre of the mark. Do not lift the soil upwards. Lightly tap down with putter.
Repairing Divots: Members and guests must carry and use a sand bucket and always repair divots on the fairway and in the rough. After playing a shot, ensure the divot is filled with sand and smoothed across, creating an even playing surface.
Damage to Greens: Players and caddies should ensure they cause no damage to the green when putting down bags or the flagstick. They should not stand too close to the hole when handling the flagstick or removing the ball. Replace the flagstick on leaving the green. Don’t drop the flagstick on the putting surface as it will cause damage. Always lower the flagstick by club or by hand. Avoid damage to surrounds by placing the stick in the centre of the cup.
