Starting Out

At Rosebud Country Club we take pride in our ability to help people get started into golf or restart after an absence. As a member based club we understand the importance of being socially at ease when you are trying to master the technical aspects of the game.

We run a very successful program called “Introduction to Golf” for golfers who are starting out or have only played a little golf.  There is professional coaching for an hour, followed by 2 holes of golf (assisted by members) and then lunch.  The atmosphere within each group has been fantastic as everyone enjoys seeing each other improve.  There is usually quite a “buzz” over lunch.

The “Golf Refresher” program is aimed at golfers who need to re-establish the basics of their game. In addition to the 1 hour clinic and lunch we have included 9 holes of golf to practice.  This program also benefits from the camaraderie of the group.

While the clinics will have improved your golf they do not make you a complete golfer.  We have also arranged a series of Social Groups for you to get out onto our courses and play.  Our new golfers find this a most supportive way of starting out and “getting some practice”.  The more experienced golfers advise on golf etiquette, rules, the various games of golf and how to improve.  Afterwards everyone goes into the clubhouse for drink and a chat and the awarding of prizes.  This is a fun way to make new friends and continue to improve.
