Juniors

We actively encourage juniors to learn to play golf and also to become members.  Juniors members are welcome to play in any of our club competitions. Our coaching staff provide guidance to our junior members.

In conjunction with the Victorian Golf Association (VGA) we run a series of clinics with local schools to encourage girls and boys to take up golf.

Our Rosebud Junior Open is run each July and attracts 70 golfers.  This is supported by our members who provide the volunteer labour to make the event a success.

Our Junior members have been excelling on the golfing scene of late:

• James Marchesani won the Aaron Baddeley Elimination Tournament and will play in the final at Heritage Golf Club in November.
• The team of Lachlan Wood, Will Gordon, Steven Ridley and Anthony Marchesani won the Stuart Appleby Term 3 final of the Club Team Championship and will play in the final on the 18th December at Kingston Heath Golf Club.
• James Marchesani, Lachlan Wood and Aaron Balloch were all selected to represent the District in the Country Week competition.
• Lachlan Wood won The Cups Classic, a nine hole event, at the Dunes for the second year in a row.
• Our Junior Pennant team was runner up our district in 2007.  It is a pleasure to watch the play, attitude and conduct of these young golfers.

We have kept our Membership fees low for our Juniors.  The annual cost equates to less than $9 per week (refer Fees).  There is no joining fee for golf members under 18 years of age and there is 50% reduction for Junior members from 18 to 22.  A discount is also offered on the Joining Fee for adult members, if they have been a long term Junior member of our club.
