Juniors

Rosebud Country Club is committed to promoting and fostering the development of junior golf.

Junior golf is an important part of the Rosebud Country Club.

The club has a strong history of producing fine young players and that's been achived through a commitment to tuition, support and creating the right environment for junior boys and girls to flourish.

We actively encourage juniors to learn to play golf and also to become members.  Juniors members are welcome to play in any of our club competitions. Our coaching staff provide guidance to our junior members.

Our Rosebud Junior Open is run each year and attracts 70 golfers.  This is supported by our members who provide the volunteer labour to make t he event a success.

We have kept our Membership fees low for our Juniors.  The annual cost equates to less than $9 per week (refer Fees).  There is no joining fee for golf members under 18 years of age and there is 50% reduction for Junior members from 18 to 22.  A discount is also offered on the Joining Fee for adult members, if they have been a long term Junior member of our club.

In an effort to make golf the sport of choice for kids under the age of 16, the club has released two new categories that represent outstanding value for money.

The Divots Junior membership is for boys and girls aged between eight and 12.

For just $60 per year, it includes 30 hours of golf tuition, a club shirt and cap, membership card, accident insurance under the Rosebud Country Club’s liability insurance and access to the golf course in the company of an adult at times designated by the club professional.

The Divots program is capped at just 40 for the year commencing September 1.

For golfers between the age of 12 and 16, the cadet membership at Rosebud Country Club is the best value on the Mornington Peninsula and certainly ahead of anything offered in metropolitan Melbourne.

For just $220 per year, boys and girls are offered 30 hours tuition, membership status and access to the golf course at times designated by the club in consultation with the resident professional Russell Wilson.

Cadet members can also play in club competition once they have a registered Golf Australia handicap. They also receive access to the Victorian Golf Association’s online V-Golf program, a bag tag and membership card.

Rosebud Country Club marketing manager Rob Vanderzalm will be working with local schools and other sporting oranisations to promote junior membership at the club.

He's confident many youngsters will take up the offer with a view to making Rosebud Country Club their home course for years to come.
