LEADERBOARD SCORE ENTRY

When the Leaderboard in the Members Lounge is operating, and set up for Player Score Entry, you may enter your competition score on the touch screens in the Golfers entrance.  Some members are used to this process and when available all members are encouraged  to use this facility and enter their scores.

Points to note:

  • When scores have been entered on these screens, you MUST then lodge your card for competition and handicapping purposes. Any cards not lodged will be considered as ‘No Card Returned’.

  • Stroke scores to be entered as GROSS scores ‘not Net’.

  • Par scores, be careful to be sure your score shows a minus sign in front if you have a minus score.  i.e.   2  or  -2.

  • Take care that your score is correct before you touch the O.K. tab because once entered you CANNOT change it.

  • This facility is not available for Team Events at this time.  (4BBB, Ambrose, Foursomes etc.)

4BBB  COMPETITION  CONDITIONS

FOR HANDICAPPING.

Four-ball scores (including mixed events) MUST be used for handicapping an individual player but only if the following requirements are met:

-         The pair has a score of at least 42 Stableford points (6 up in par or net 6 under in stroke events).

-         The individual player’s score appears at least 9 times on the four-ball score card.

-         The adjusted score (after the below method has been followed to create an individual score card) produces a handicap differential which is equal to or better than the individual player’s handicap.

PROCEDURE FOR CREATING INDIVIDUAL SCORE CARD FROM FOUR-BALL SCORE CARD FOR HANDICAPPING PURPOSES.

-         When a player has no handicap stroke on a hole and their score is not recorded on the four-ball card, they are given 1 Stableford point.

-         On holes where a player receives 1, 2, or 3 handicap strokes and their score is not recorded on the four-ball card, they are given 1 ½  Stableford points.

-         When a player’s score counts on the four-ball card for a hole, they are given the appropriate number of Stableford points for that hole.

-         When all the gaps are filled in, the points are totalled, and where a half appears in the total, the points total is rounded to the next lower whole number.

FOR PLAYERS WITHOUT PARTNERS

Should any player in a group ( this includes a group of 2 ) be unable to form a 4BBB team they shall, upon payment of competition fee, be issued with a score card and complete an individual round. ( these cards will be handicapped as a singles  round )   Cards to be exchanged within the group for marking.

By lot draw players without partners to form a 4BBB team in the competition even though they are playing in different groups.

Compile Four-ball score cards for each team formed in this manner from the scores recorded on the individual score cards.

In the event a further player still having not been allocated a partner under the above procedure, this player will be teamed with the lowest marker of the previously un-partnered players who will not be eligible to win a prize won by this pair.

If only one un-partnered player in the field, the player shall be teamed with player ‘A’ from a randomly drawn 4BBB card from within the field.
